Meet Dr. Samora
Healing-Centered Psychologist & Educator | Restorative Coach & Consultant | Circle Keeper and Story Weaver
~Passionate about guiding others from survival to liberation—where healing, self-trust, and joy thrive.
Hello, light bearers. I’m Dr. Samora Covington, PsyD, and I create spaces where self-discovery, empowerment, and transformation unfold with intention.
Healing is an act of liberation. I believe that true healing happens in spaces where people feel seen, valued, and liberated from limiting narratives. My work is rooted in liberation psychology and restorative practices; and I call in expressive arts and somatic healing techniques as pathways to transformation. I use these tools to provide culturally affirming and trauma-responsive care that centers sustainable wellbeing for Black women and people of the global majority.
For many, life has become a cycle of survival—navigating daily stressors, carrying the weight of expectations, hurting from past wounds, and pushing forward despite exhaustion. But healing isn’t just about resilience; it’s about restoration. I support individuals and organizations in moving from a place of depletion to one of deep fulfillment and alignment.
With a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a career as a tenured Psychology Professor at Highline College, my work bridges the academic and healing worlds. As an educator, I bring a deep understanding of human behavior, trauma, and wellness into my coaching and consulting practice. Through a holistic approach, I support individuals and organizations in cultivating personal and professional growth.
My philosophy of care stems from the belief that healing is already within you—it is not something to be found but something to be restored. I help clients reconnect with their inner wisdom, embracing qualities like compassion, clarity, confidence, and creativity to navigate life’s challenges. By integrating mindfulness, embodiment techniques, and creative expression, I create spaces where people can release limiting beliefs, reconnect with their authentic selves, and move toward healing with intention and purpose.
As a nationally certified trainer in Adult Mental Health First Aid and a practitioner of Narrative Expressive Arts, I use these specialized skills to help individuals and organizations build trauma-responsive, culturally affirming, and restorative spaces for growth. Whether through coaching, consulting, or healing-centered retreats, my mission is to support people in breaking free from stuck points in life and coming to a place of self-trust, balance, and inner liberation.
At Liberated Radiance, I invite you to embark on a journey of healing that honors your brilliance and restores your energy. Whether you’re seeking personal growth, collective healing, or professional renewal, this is a space created with you in mind.
